(Minister of Defence) replied: I am advised that excluding Reserves, the following trades did not meet 100% of the 2020 enlistment target: Aircraft Technician; Air Warfare Specialist; Armament Technician; Communication & Information Systems Technician; Electronic Technician; Firefighter; Steward; Ground Support Equipment Technician; Helicopter Load Master; Security; Safety and Surface Technician; Ammunition Technician; Armoured; Army Officer; Automotive Technician; Chef; Driver; Dental Assistant; Electronics Technician; Electronic Warfare Operator; Gunner; Infantry; Information Systems Officer; Medical Officer; Medic; Movement Operator; Plant Operator; Supply Technician; Systems Engineer; Naval Combat System Specialist; Diver; Electronic Warfare Specialist; Helicopter Pilot; Logistics Supply Specialist; Marine Technician; Medic; Musician; Administrator/Writer; Seamanship Combat Specialist.
I am also advised, Defence Recruiting has recently released a five-year plan to improve meeting enlistment targets. A new advertising campaign will be launched around August 2022, and a shift in focus to retain candidates and enhance marketing capability is taking place.
