(Minister of Defence) replied: I am advised that excluding Reserves, the following trades did not meet 100% of the 2019 enlistment target: Aeronautical Metal Worker; Air Warfare Officer; Communication & Information Systems Officer; Engineer; Force Health Protection Officer; Ground Support Equipment Technician; Helicopter Load Master; Legal Services Officer; Pilot; Psychologist; Security; Supply Officer; Ammunition Technician; Armoured; Army Officer; Chaplain; Chef; Driver; Combat Engineer; Dental Assistant; Electrician; Electronic Warfare Operator; Firefighter; Field Psychologist; Gunner; Information Systems Officer; Medic; Movement Operator; Musician; Pharmacist; Plant Operator; Supply Technician; Systems Engineer; Airborne Tactical Officer; Naval Combat System Specialist; Communications Warfare Specialist; Diver; Helicopter Pilot; Hydrographic Survey Officer; Logistics Supply Specialist; Marine Technician; Mine Clearance Diving Officer; Administrator/Writer; Weapons Engineer Officer.
I am also advised, Defence Recruiting has recently released a five-year plan to improve meeting enlistment targets. A new advertising campaign will be launched around August 2022, and a shift in focus to retain candidates and enhance marketing capability is taking place.
